During your pet’s yearly checkup, our doctors perform a nose to tail physical exam. This includes
- Checking the ears, teeth, and mouth
- Listening to the heart and lungs
- Palpating the abdomen for any abnormalities
- Evaluating joints and muscles
- Assessing the lymph nodes and overall body condition

We want you to feel informed and comfortable throughout your visit. Our team is always happy to explain procedures, answer questions, and talk through any concerns. There’s no such thing as too many questions when it comes to your pet’s well being.
When Specialized Care Is Needed
If your pet ever needs advanced diagnostics or treatment, we partner with trusted veterinary specialists in areas like internal medicine, surgery, and imaging. These specialists can come directly to Four Paws Animal Clinic, which often saves you the time and cost of traveling to a specialty hospital in Sacramento, Loomis, or Davis.
